Getting a Birth Certificate for Baby Born in Saudi Arabia

  1. New: Get an appointment from http://eservices.moi.gov.sa
  2. Fill the arabic form, very easy to fill form.
  3. Attach following
    1. Your Iqama Copy
    2. Wife Iqama Copy
    3. Your Passport Copy
    4. Wife Passport Copy
    5. Orginal Birth Anouncement letter from hospital
    6. Keep Original Vaccination card with you.
Go to MOI office, submit the documents, you will receive birth certificate after 30 to 50mins, get it signed from MUDEEER(Department Head) and thats it. This is only birth registration slip, you can continue further procedures for getting passport from your local emabassy on this. However a permanent birth letter will be issue after one year when one year's vaccination of child has been completed.

  1. As of Muharaam 1432, you need to book an appointment from http://www.moi.gov.sa/wps/portal. Without this appointment, you will not get entry to the Ahwal Al Madani Office.

  3. I got the appointment of 24-May-2011. There is no appointment before.

will they charge me the late fee as this is not my problem?
What if I need birth certificate urgently?

  4. Well as far as charges are concerned, try to convince them that you get appointment on right time, but you did not get it. It's only about trying luck otherwise they are going to charge you.
    Secondly here is a TIP.
Just go to there office without appointment and try to get the certificate, tell them it's urgent etc. One of my friend just told him that his family is travel ling and he need it in home country and they issued the certificate straight away.

  10. I'm unable to register on the website "https://eservices.moi.gov.sa/ES/LogInPages/LoginEn.aspx"

When i go inside the website by entering the iqama number and image code, on the left i find "Appointment services". When i click on it i get three things to fill.

firstly civil_number is filled with my iqama number. then enter image code. then birth date.

Then i have two buttons, "show my appointments" and "appointments".

which ever i select i get the msg on the top.. "Birth Date Is Not Correct". Please suggest me what to do.

  11. @SRH, Try changing the birth date format to Gregorian calender and try... there may be chances that your birth date was wrongly updated on to the government system...

  13. Hello.

Does anyone know what would happen if the mother and father were both in Riyadh on business visit visas (no iqama)? What if the father had an iqama but the mother did not? Would the Ministry of Interior not issue the birth certificate?

  27. Latest procedure to obtain new born baby birth certificate in Saudi Arabia:

1- You should have birth notification from hospital (normally they will issue both english and arabic)
2- Take an appointment of civil affair from
http://www.moi.gov.sa, click english than click individual , on the left side you will find civil affair/booknow/oppiontment services, click that box.
it will ask you your iqama # and your date of birth.
enter all the detail of city and select the date and time of appointment. print out that appointment
3- fill out form # 87 from e-form section (you can take help of any saudi if you feel dificulty to fill out the form
go to ahwal madani office on appointment date
    take with you following documents
    1- Form # 87 (filled)
2- Birth notification from hospital (Arabia only)
3- Iqama copy for you and wife (take original with you)
4- Passport copies with arabia translation of you and you wife (take original with you)
give these document at ahwal madani office birth notification counter
please note that original iqama and passport is required for verification (sometime they asked for it, in my case they didn't asked)
after ten minutes they will give you birth certificate, get signature from their boss and than finish
earlier rule to issue original birth certificate is no more valid, immediatly they issue original one.
hope this clarifies, recently i go through this procedure.

  30. Salaams..

I am born and brought up in Saudi Arabia and i m working in Saudi Arabia as a doctor in a private clinic . I have my all degress attested and SCFHS license also ..
I had one year experience after internship and as i was born here so i didnt need any more experience and i gt the license by submitting my documents 2 years back..

Last year my SCFHS license got expired and i went for the renewal .. they asked my to get the iqama transfer from my father to clinic and approach with clinic mandoob for renewal ... I gt the iqama transfered and now i m on clinic sponsor and my profession is also doctor .

When i handed over all the documents required to my clinic mandoob for card renewal he said u need to
    1. Change the name on iqama as on passport and certificates and
    2. Also 2 years exp certificate .( I have one year certificate with attestations after that i gt the card and i joined in this clinic only until nw)

When i approched before for renewal the saudi council people told me u need BLS , Clinic Letter from when your wrking date ,form for re-registartion and fees - 150 for just "" Ta3deel "" but afer transfer of iqama...

But my mandoob is asking me to get name change first in iqama..
Jawazt people rejected stating that birth certificate name should be changed ..

I have a family name Syed Mohd ... And my name is nadeem ..
My passport and all educational degree certificates all are having my name Syed Mohd Nadeem even the saudi council accredition certificate and card are with this name.
Whereas the name in my Iqama is “Nadeem” which is according to my birth certificate and adding my father’s name along with it, making it as “Nadeem Abdul Qader”.

Now I am having problem when trying to change my name in the birth certificate as I was born in Saudi Arabia. Being two different names I am suffering a lot for the past 3-4 months
while renewal of my SFHS card and it seems my iqama wont be renewed if saudi council is not renewed and for that name has to be changed in birth certificate

I kindly & humbly request you all here to lent me a helping hand and enlighten me with your knowledge on :

    1. how to get my name change in birthcertificate ...

    2. after how long saudi council card can be renwed after expiry...

I am really screwed up for the past few months running here and there .Until now on my old iqama also my name used to be hand written as on passport.. When computerised card after al these 25 years i have this issue.

Please find me a way out with early response ..

  39. Please tell me how you get appointment, because i am trying to get online appointment at Nasiriyah center but "No appointment available" message is showing on screen. thanks

    ReplyDelete
  40. Dear All,
    I’m writing what I experienced,
Within 30 days NO penalty, after 30 days of date of birth, penalty is SAR 50.
If you are not getting online appointment, and you are close to finish 30 days then must visit to office as walk-in, to save penalty of SAR 50. The office will entertain you, must tell them that “you are close to 30 days deadline” and they will entertain you without appointment to save you from fine.
But if you already exceed the 30 days then you must take online appointment, otherwise office will not entertain you unless and until there is any emergency. If any emergency and you are not getting online appointment then visit office. thanks
